This Privacy Policy explains how Adhinetha (operated from India,
serving readers globally at adhinetha.com) collects, uses, and protects
your personal information when you use our website.
1. Information we collect
- Browser & device data — IP address, user agent, language preference, viewport size. Stored briefly in server logs (30 days).
- Cookies — small text files for session management, view-count de-duplication, and like-button identification. We do not use third-party tracking cookies of our own.
- Push subscription endpoints — if you opt in to browser notifications, we store the encrypted endpoint URL provided by your browser. You can unsubscribe at any time from your browser settings.
- Account data — for content creators who apply via /join: name, email, password (hashed), phone, address, profile photo, optional portfolio and message.

- Deliver, secure, and improve the website
- Dedupe likes and view counts
- Send push notifications about new articles (only with your consent)
- Process content-creator applications
- Respond to inquiries you send via Contact
3. Advertising and third-party services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Google AdSense — serves ads. Google may use cookies (including the DART cookie) and identifiers to show personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads or via Ad Settings. See Google's advertising privacy policy.
- Taboola (if enabled) — recommended-content widget. See Taboola's privacy policy.
- WhatsApp — if you click the Follow on WhatsApp link, you leave our site and become subject to Meta's privacy policy.
4. Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
5. Your rights

6. Data retention
- Server logs: 30 days
- Cookies: up to 13 months (push subscription identifier), 90 days (view dedupe)
- Creator accounts: until you request deletion
7. Security
We use HTTPS site-wide, hash passwords with bcrypt, and store admin credentials in a secured environment file. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we follow industry-standard practices.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
